Authorities in Kentucky say a man has been arrested on suspicion of following a woman through a series of neighborhood stops before both arrived at her home and he brandished a samurai sword.

According to WAVE, 25-year-old Jesse Hodson started stalking the female victim at a coffee shop on Woodlawn Avenue in Louisville on Saturday afternoon.

From there, the alleged armed pursuer followed her to a nearby store before keeping her in his sights until she arrived at her home.

Police believe he pulled the sword out and began waving it around in front of the woman’s home for a short time before sheathing his weapon and walking to a Kroger supermarket on Third Street.

He allegedly attempted to enter the grocery store with the sword and refused authorities’ instructions to stop. Instead, they say he brandished the sword again as he turned toward the responding officers.

Hodson was arrested at the scene and booked into the Louisiana Metro Corrections facility, where he remained as of the latest updates available. He is scheduled to appear in court later this month.

Court records indicate he is expected to face criminal charges including disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, burglary, marijuana possession, and four counts of menacing.
